Clare Lacey

Senior Advisor

Clare has nearly 20 years’ corporate finance experience and was a partner of QMPF until July 2022 where she advised both private and public sector clients on strategic and commercial options, due diligence, project financing and structuring, and acquisitions and sales of renewable energy assets.  She now works as a Senior Advisor to business and works with the energy team on specific client remits as well as holding several non-executive board positions.

 

Clare has advised on a range of renewable energy technologies, at different stages of development including onshore wind, solar, anaerobic digestion and district heating.

 

In the last few years Clare has successfully sold multiple operational anaerobic digestion plants and lead work on over a dozen district heating projects.

 

Clare was one of the founding partners of QMPF, established in 2012 as Quayle Munro Project Finance following an MBO. Clare joined Quayle Munro Limited’s Edinburgh office in February 2006 from PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she spent over seven years in their corporate finance, recovery and assurance teams. On joining Quayle Munro, Clare spent nearly 2 years working within project finance fund management, where she focused on financial due diligence and investment analysis for the infrastructure fund managed by the business, and held board positions on a number of the fund’s SPVs. In January 2008 Clare joined the advisory team where she has advised bidders in the energy, infrastructure and health sectors.

 

Clare graduated from Edinburgh University with an honours degree in Economics & Politics. She is a Chartered Accountant.
