Neil has extensive advisory and modelling experience in Renewables, PPP/PFI and the Higher and Further Education sectors. Neil is responsible for a range of financial modelling and advisory assignments, including debt raising, structuring and negotiation of commercial terms. Recent transactions include project financings for a number of wind farms including Carraig Gheal (Scotland) and Hog Jaeren (Norway), advising John Laing Investments on wind farm acquisition transactions and advising the University of St Andrews on the procurement of a biomass CHP plant.
Neil joined PriceWaterhouseCoopers (Management Consulting) in London in 1994 specialising in business modelling with clients such as Goldman Sachs, Kingfisher and the Treasury. In 1998 he returned to Edinburgh with British Linen Bank, and then Bank of Scotland, modelling on PFI transactions, and managing the contract negotiation and management of legal and technical advisors. Latterly Neil was self-employed as a financial modelling consultant (with Quayle Munro as a client), before joining Quayle Munro's Edinburgh office in June 2007, working within the Debt Advisory and Education team.
Neil has a B. Com (1st class Hons) from Edinburgh University and MSc (Operational Research) from Strathclyde University.
