Nicola joined QMPF in September 2013. She is involved in debt raising, advisory and financial modelling.
She currently focuses on the education sector, financing capital projects and student accommodation through on balance sheet fundraising and both property and project finance structures.
Significant recent projects include advising Goldsmiths, University of London on its £37m student accommodation project and Uliving, the successful Bidder on the University of Gloucestershire residences requirement, which was the first privately-financed student accommodation project to be guaranteed by Her Majesty’s Treasury, through the UK Guarantee scheme.
Nicola has also worked on a number of debt raising/refinancing transactions in the Higher & Further education sector including the University of Sheffield, University of Exeter and Bangor University. The debt raised has involved a variety of structures including bank funding, EIB funding and private placements.
Her experience also includes the delivery of a number of hub projects in Scotland, including Levenmouth High School, the first DBFM project to be delivered in the East Central territory.
Nicola graduated from the University of Glasgow with a first class honours degree in Accountancy. She is a Chartered Accountant, qualifying with PwC’s Assurance Division.
