Peter provides specialist corporate finance and strategic advice to Higher Education Institutions on wide range of areas including debt raising, investment appraisal and project structuring with a particular focus on student residences transactions.
He has led and managed a number of complex student residences partnership procurements including transactions at the University of Essex, University of Sussex and Goldsmiths, University of London and he led the advice to a large sovereign wealth fund on their purchase of a stake in UPP. Recently he has assisted a number of his University clients through the process of renegotiating and refinancing these types of projects - extracting further value for the Universities from these long term arrangements. Peter has also advised on arranging a variety of debt instruments including private placements and European Investment Bank loans.
He also has extensive experience across other PFI/PPP sectors including health and education and his experience includes primary bidding, refinancing/restructuring, equity acquisitions/disposals in the secondary market and fund management.
Peter is a CFA Charterholder with an MA (Hons) in Economics and Economic history from the University of Edinburgh. He previously worked in the Infrastructure and Government team at KPMG and in M&A at Lazard specialising in Telecommunications, Media and Technology.
