Royal Holloway, University of London
QMPF advised Royal Holloway, University of London on its successful £80 million private placement. The funding will enable Royal Holloway to undertake an ambitious development of its 135 acre Surrey campus including a flagship new library and student services centre. One major investor, Pricoa Capital Group, provided Royal Holloway with a mix of 20-, 25- and 30-year debt.
Graeme Robinson, Director of Finance at Royal Holloway, said “QMPF reviewed our funding requirements and options, prepared the tender for the appointment of the placement agent and advised us as the placement was marketed and priced, including on the commercial aspects of the legal agreement. In my view it was essential to have a capable financial adviser on our side of the table. QMPF were able to combine expertise in the financial markets, with in depth experience of Higher Education and its funding and governance, and responded flexibly and proactively as the transaction developed.”
