Hartpury University and Hartpury College
QMPF advised Hartpury University on its partnership with Cityheart for the development of off campus student residences, located at Ladybellgate Street in the heart of Gloucester. This was the second phase of development at the Blackfriars site for Cityheart following on from a successful first phase supported by the University of Gloucestershire.
The £17.5m project involved the design, build, finance and operation of 190 beds and was funded by a 50 year “income strip” provided by Aviva. QMPF was appointed to review the financial model and funding proposal, advise on the financial aspects of the funders direct agreement and consider the financial and commercial implications of the project for the University.
Lynn Forrester-Walker, Chief Operating Office at Hartpury University and Hartpury College said:
“This project will be an important addition to the portfolio of accommodation for Hartpury students and is part of a programme of forward-looking initiatives. QMPF provided vital support throughout the transaction to help us reach financial close in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.”
