QMPF is delighted to have been appointed to Lot 2.4 Financial Support on the Heat Network Zoning Framework procured by the Department of Energy Security and Net zero (DESNZ).
The Framework will support the roll out of the heat network zoning which the Government’s energy strategy has committed to introduce by 2025. The Policy is designed to designating zones where heat networks offer the most cost-effective solution for decarbonising heat. It will allow local authorities and heat network developers to swiftly identify where new large-scale strategic heat networks should be constructed. This strategic approach aims to enhance the efficiency of the heat network development process, helping to streamline and target the multi-billion-pound investment needed to deliver heat networks on the scale required to meet the UK’s net-zero goals.
QMPF has been supporting clients in the District Heating sector for a number of year, advising Local Authorities, Universities, NHS Trusts and Utilities in delivering business cases, supporting on grant application, considering funding options, financial modelling, procurement and bidding on public sector led networks and on M&A activities in the sector.
