QMPF is thrilled to announce our sponsorship of the South Morningside Primary School girls’ football team. There is great momentum behind girls’ participation in sport, and football in particular – both nationally and here in Edinburgh.
This group at South Morningside Primary School has grown from only a handful of girls a few years ago, to now nearly 40 from across the two year groups playing every week. With numbers at that level they had outgrown the number of the old, tired, strips, so as part of our commitment to community engagement we have been delighted to provide the team with these lovely new kits.
We’re proud to be helping a sport which promotes inclusion, confidence and camaraderie among these young girls, and to be putting the team on an equal footing with the boys of the same age. Many of the girls involved are going on to play club football too – although no matter the level they play at, we hope that they can all take the benefits of this grounding in sport into their future years.
