Peter Lyons
Peter provides specialist corporate finance and strategic advice with a focus on the Education sector. He works alongside his clients on wide range of areas including debt raising and project and transaction structuring with a particular focus on student residences transactions.
He has led and managed a number of complex student residences partnership procurements including transactions at the University of Essex, University of Brighton and the University of Leicester. He has also assisted a number of his University clients through the process of renegotiating and refinancing these types of projects – extracting further value for the Universities and has extensive experience in valuing and purchasing these types of assets.
Peter has advised on a number of private placement issuances recently for clients such as Royal Holloway, University of London, the University of York and the American School in London. He has also led the advice on restructuring and refinancing various bank facilities including European Investment Bank loans.
He also has extensive experience across other PFI/PPP sectors including health and education and his experience includes primary bidding, refinancing/restructuring, equity acquisitions/disposals in the secondary market and fund management.
Peter is a CFA Charterholder with an MA (Hons) in Economics and Economic history from the University of Edinburgh. He previously worked at KPMG and in M&A at Lazard.
