Royal College of Music
QMPF acted as financial advisor to the Royal College of Music on its £45m student accommodation project, which reached financial close in July 2014. The project will include £37 million of funding from M&G and £8 million of sub-debt and equity provided by Campus Living Villages (“CLV”) and the College.
The 45-year deal, a partnership between the College and CLV, will see CLV designing, financing and operating new residential accommodation on the existing College Hall site in Goldhawk Road in south-west London. The new accommodation, to be known as Prince Consort Village, will provide 417 rooms split across 3 room types – studio apartments, en-suite rooms and standard rooms.
QMPF has advised the College on the project since 2012 through its subsequent procurement and the process to financial close. Our role included structuring the financial aspects of the procurement, bid evaluation, financial modelling, and advice on the associated risk, accounting and financial considerations for the College
