QMPF advised the College on its successful £45m private placement.

The College had identified a borrowing requirement for a number of capital developments on both of its campuses to ensure that it can continue to offer an outstanding environment and experience for its community.  QMPF were initially appointed to provide an options appraisal to explore a variety of funding structures that would enable it to meet the required capital investment.  A £45m private placement was chosen as the best way forward, with the proceeds used to refinance the College’s existing bank facilities, repay associated break costs and fund part of its capital investment plan.  After generating significant investor interest, both within the UK and North America, the placement was four times over-subscribed, and ultimately placed solely with Sun Life Investment Management, raising a blend of 15, 20 and 25 year funding.  QMPF were retained as financial advisors throughout, advising alongside the placement arrangers.
