University of Oxford – Life & Mind Building
QMPF advised the University of Oxford in the funding of its landmark Life & Mind Building which will be developed at the existing Tinbergen site. The £200m project will house the Zoology, Plant Sciences and Experimental Psychology departments and is the largest building project to be undertaken by the University. It will be delivered through the University’s £4bn joint venture with Legal & General which was formed in June 2020, which QMPF also advised on. QMPF undertook a review of the Development Appraisal and Heads of Terms and provided financial modelling support to assess the economic and cash implications of entering into this agreement.
Lindsay Pearson, Director of Finance said, “The financial and commercial advice which was provided on the LaMB development built upon our strong existing relationship with QMPF and provided a robust and transparent assessment for the University. QMPF was able to quickly understand the project and our requirements which allowed for timely and meaningful advice.”
