We are delighted to have been awarded Advisory Team of the year, at this year’s Unlock Net Zero Awards. We are pleased to receive positive recognition for the work our team has undertaken in the property and built environment space as we support our clients across their net zero transitions.
Our submission for the awards highlighted the work QMPF undertook in the year 2023/24 and broadly covered:
- Our work supporting the delivery of innovative heat solutions aimed at providing low carbon heat options to households and other users.
- Providing financial advice to public sector bodies to support estate strategies around their net zero transitions and project affordability.
- Our experience in green financing and supporting clients in taking up sustainability linked capital to deliver their projects.
The transition to net zero is a core part of QMPF’s work and this award demonstrates the breadth of our skills and reach across the sector. Notable projects supporting this award include:
- Oldham Borough Council Heat Network – QMPF undertook financial modelling and advice on the business case for a £20m low carbon heat network for Oldham Town Centre.
- University of Edinburgh – QMPF provided financial and strategic advice supporting the University in developing low carbon heat solutions across its two core city centre campuses.
- University of Sussex – QMPF supported the University in the delivery of the West Slope student accommodation. The project will deliver 1,899 bed spaces, be rated BREEAM Excellent and include the use of solar panels, water recycling and green roofs with materials produced from the demolition reused onsite.
- Royal College of Art – QMPF supported the College in raising a sustainability linked £45m RCF that will be utilised in completion of their Battersea design and innovation campus.
We’re grateful to the Unlock Net Zero Awards judging panel for recognising our contribution and look forward to continuing to serve our clients across the sector.
